Natalie Bachynsky, PhD, FNP-C, APRN
Family Nurse Practitioner

Natalie Bachynsky has been a Registered Nurse since 1998 and a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2014. Natalie earned a PhD in Nursing Science & Post-Masters Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from Texas Woman’s University (TWU) and a Bachelors & Masters Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). Natalie has dedicated her professional career to patient advocacy and improving care for underserved populations.

Natalie spent the first ten years of her career working with women, infants, and children in the Texas Medical Center. She was an Assistant Professor at UTMB-School of Nursing for seven years prior to moving to East Texas. Her role at UTMB allowed her to develop numerous “service-learning” projects where health professions students and faculty provided free medical services to vulnerable populations. Natalie is proud to have procured over $900,000 in grant funding to support programs designed to help at-risk children, incarcerated pregnant women, and their babies. One such program, the “Interprofessional Pediatric Advocacy Program” enabled nursing, medical, and allied health students to provide collaborative home health care to medically fragile children being monitored by Child Protective Services from 2012-2015. Natalie also served as the Co-Principle investigator for “The BAMBI/School of Nursing Collaborative Project”, with UTMB School of Nursing, Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), Baby and Mother Bonding Initiative (BAMBI) & UTMB Hospital to offer perinatal education and labor support to pregnant incarcerated women. This innovative program continues to be implemented at the TDCJ Carole Young Medical Facility in Dickinson, Texas.

In search of more peaceful surroundings, Natalie and her family purchased a “weekend home” in Lovelady in 2013. After two years of weekly commutes from Pearland, they took a leap of faith and became full-time residents in Houston County. Natalie has served as a nurse practitioner in Crockett since November 2015. She established Houston County Family Medical Clinic in 2020 and is pleased to offer health services for infants, children, and adults. Natalie’s practice philosophy is based on disease prevention, patient partnership, and motivational strategies to facilitate positive health outcomes. Natalie enjoys spending time traveling with her husband, Ashton, and children, Sophia & Greyson.
